The Seamstresses

Nestled in the foothills of the forest on planet earth, Polly and Esther live in their travelling menagerie of forgotten wares. They travel the world gathering clothing and stories. They are on a mission to seam together the old into the new and reduce the clothing footprint on our planet. Their menagerie is fully self-sufficient, fuelled by the sun, the stories of passers by and not to mention ‘Ole Jan’ the one hundred year old crank machine.

With needle and thread at the ready, Polly and Esther travel all over the countryside including festivals, country fairs, parks or in your backyard. This eccentric duo can pop-up even in the unimaginable, inviting all to enter into their menagerie and share in its magic. The audience are invited to make, experience, share and listen.
